What is the process for obtaining my BCBA/BCaBA through UCSB’s PaCE programs?
BCBA (Board Certified Behavior Analyst)
- UCSB PaCE offers ABAI approved 5th Edition Verified Course Sequence to those planning on becoming a BCBA. Under the 5th Edition task list, students will need a Master’s degree in any field/discipline. Students will complete 315 coursework hours (total of 7 classes) and accrue 2000 supervised fieldwork hours. For more information regarding BACB’s requirements, click here.
BCaBA (Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst)
- Assistants of BCBAs can apply for this type of certificate. Assistants perform helpful tasks and are able to supervise RBTs. BCaBAs must have their undergraduate degree, must have completed at least 225 coursework hours, accrue 1300 supervised fieldwork hours, and then pass the exam administered by BACB.
