What is the process for obtaining my BCBA/BCaBA through UCSB’s PaCE programs?

BCBA (Board Certified Behavior Analyst)

  • UCSB PaCE offers the 6th Edition BCBA courses under Pathway 2. Under the 6th Edition task list, students will need a Master’s degree in any field/discipline. Students will complete 315 coursework hours (total of 8 classes plus the competency assessment) and accrue 2000 supervised fieldwork hours. BCaBA (Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst)

  • UCSB PaCE offers the 6th Edition BCaBA courses under Pathway 2. BCaBAs perform helpful tasks and are able to supervise RBTs. BCaBAs must have their undergraduate degree, must have completed at least 225 coursework hours, accrue 1300 supervised fieldwork hours, and then pass the exam administered by BACB.
