[5/28/2024]

Dear Students,

We are thrilled to announce that the Technology Management Professional Certificate Program has been revised to better align with the evolving demands of the technology-driven business landscape. The new curriculum is designed to provide students with a more comprehensive and flexible learning experience.

For detailed information on the new curriculum requirements, please refer to the program schedule matrix on the program page.

Key Changes in the Curriculum:

TMP X130F is no longer offered by PaCE:

  • This course is now available as an elective under the new course name TMP 125 - Principles of Business Finance. Students can register for TMP 125 through GOLD.

New required course:

  • Students are now required to complete TMP X111 - Introduction to Technology Management.
  • Please note that, if you are satisfying the program requirements by completing TMP X111, you do not need to submit a program application with the associated $150 fee.

Elective course flexibility:

  • The revised curriculum requirements include a wide range of elective courses allowing students to tailor their learning experience to their individual career goals.

For Students Who Completed TMP X130F - Fundamentals of Business Finance:
If you completed TMP X130F during or before the Spring 2024 term, during or before Spring 2024, you are still eligible to complete the program with the previous academic requirements.

You can apply course credit for TMP X130F toward the certificate requirements in lieu of the new course requirement for TMP X111 - Introduction to Technology Management.

You will also be permitted to count TMP X130F toward the program elective requirements, should you decide to enroll in TMP X111.

For Students Who Did Not Complete TMP X130F:
If you did not complete TMP X130F during or before the Spring 2024 term, you will no longer be required to complete the course.  You will now be required to follow the revised curriculum requirements as outlined on the program page.

If you have any questions or need further clarification about the new requirements, please do not hesitate to contact us at tmp-advising@ucsb.edu.

Best regards,
Technology Management Program Team
