Is there a recommended course sequence?

There are no formal course sequence requirements, but we recommend starting with Principles of Financial Accounting (ECON X400) if you’re new to accounting. Many courses–including Managerial Accounting, Financial Statement Analysis, and Accounting Information Systems–list X400 as a recommended prerequisite.
Some advanced courses have required prerequisites:

• Intermediate Accounting II requires completion of Intermediate Accounting I
• Corporate Taxation requires completion of Income Taxes (Individual)
