Empowerment and Opportunity Fund Professional Scholarships FAQs
Who?
Our Empowerment and Opportunity Fund Professional scholarships are reserved to residents of Santa Barbara, San Luis Obispo, Ventura and Kern counties only.
Applications are judged holistically and not solely on the basis of financial need, and they are awarded at PaCE management discretion, and are limited by funds availability.
These programs are NOT eligible for Empowerment and Opportunity Fund Professional Scholarships:
- CPA Licensure Prep Summer Program
- Blockchain Academy
- Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)
- Environmental and Climate Advocacy (ECALA)
- Intersectional Justice Facilitator (IJF)
- Quickstart Affiliated Programs

When?
Empowerment and Opportunity Fund Professional Scholarships are available every quarter including Summer. Scholarships must be used during the quarter the Awardees are selected. They cannot be transferred to another quarter.
Only the selected Awardees will be notified. If you do not receive a notification, you were not selected.

I have already paid for my course, can I get a scholarship now?
No.
How much?
Scholarships will cover 100% of the course cost up to $700. Any remaining balance cannot be used towards other courses. Textbooks and other miscellaneous fees are not covered. They are payable by the student.
How do I apply for this Scholarship?
To apply please fill out this form. Only the selected Awardees will be notified.
My course/program has other forms of scholarships available. Can I apply for Empowerment and Opportunity Fund Professional Scholarships as well?
Scholarships are not cumulative. Only one type of scholarship can be used at a time.
We may change any of these terms as needed.
