Accessing the Course Evaluation in Canvas 

 

Please follow the steps below to ensure that the course evaluation appears in your Canvas course/s and when to inform students about the process.

 

Step 1: Send out an announcement on the first day of class informing students about the evaluation process, when the evaluation will be available, and when it is due.

 

Step 2: For your Fall 2025 courses, after October 27, 2025 and before November 24, 2025, click on Assignments (on the left side panel) to verify that the evaluation is listed.

 

 

Step 3: Look for the “Final UCSB Evaluation - Mandatory”

 

Step 4: Please do not make any changes.  

 

Step 5: If you do not see the evaluation listed, please contact your Program Manager right away and let them know.

 

Step 6: Include the evaluation process and the dates when the evaluation will be available and when it will be due in the Syllabus. The Syllabus must be visible to students 2 weeks before the first day of class.

 

Step 7: Send out another announcement the week before the evaluation will be available, reminding students to fill it out and complete the evaluation by the due date.
