DUO multi-factor-authentication (MFA) required to access Canvas and other applications like Google Workspace

Beginning on Tuesday, August 23, 2022, for security reasons, UCSB is now requiring Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) in order to use services like:

• Canvas - our online course system
• Google Workspace (Gmail, Calendar, etc.)
• Other UCSB online services

If you have already enrolled in MFA for another application such as UCPath, there is nothing new you need to set up.

If you have questions or need help in enrolling in DUO, submit a ticket at ithelp.ucsb.edu under the "End User Services" tab, then "Access and Accounts" or call UCSB CITS Service Desk at (805) 893-5000. IT Services Support hours are 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. PST, Monday through Friday.
