Class Auditing

As a student of the Division of Professional and Continuing Education, you will not be allowed to audit or visit professional courses.

Open University Courses

During the regular academic year, you may audit a regular session UCSB course (sit in unofficially) with the permission of the instructor. Auditors are not expected to complete assignments, take examinations, or participate in classroom discussion. No record of the audited class will appear on your quarter schedule or UCSB transcript. You will not be permitted to earn credit by examination in courses that you have audited.
