Open University Late Enrollment Procedures

You are responsible for enrolling in professional courses prior to the start date of the course. However, there are some exceptions that will be granted in rare and specific circumstances. 

Open University Courses

You are responsible for enrolling in regular session UCSB courses by the established enrollment deadline.

If you want to enroll after the deadline, submit the following to UCSB Professional and Continuing Education:

Deadline: All program requirements (courses + internship) must be completed by June 2027
No Financial Aid: Degree Plus enrollment does NOT make you eligible for financial aid
No Transfer Credit: PaCE courses cannot be transferred to your UCSB degree
Separate Enrollment: Degree Plus courses are in addition to (not instead of) your main campus requirements
Application Fee: $25 (standard for all PaCE programs)
Free Tuition: Only for the 3 required certificate courses
Workload: 3.5-5 hours per week per course
Flexibility: You can complete courses after graduation as long as you finish by June 2027
